Understanding that everyone has mental health means to undertsand anyone can be experiencing a hard time with theirs. This page is dedicated to resources to help you or someone you know seek help, or understand more about mental health. There is a wealth of resources available for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression or any mental health challenge. These resources including mental health hot-lines, therapy/counseling, and research deicated websites all help to further spread awareness and personally support individuals in need.
Safe2Tell
Safe2Tell is a great resource to go to when experiencing a concerning emergency with yourself or community members. It allows you to anonymously report anything that concerns your own safety or others. This resource should be used only when necessary.
Trevor Project
The Trevor Project is a non-profitted organization that is dedicated to the prevention of scuicide from lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer indivduals. Trevor Project was founded in 1998 in California. Ths resource can be helpful to those apart of the LGBTQ+ community and are experiencing mental pressure in their identity.
SAMHSA
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is an agency of the Health and Human Services (HHS) and targets to implement healthier behaviors across the nation and prevent substance abuse and misusage. They also aim to promote mental health and encourage to be a more common topic across the United States. Their 4 main princaples include equity, trauma-informed approaches, recovery, and commitment to data and evidence.
NAMI
National Alliance on Mental Illness is one of the largest organizations of mental health. Founded in 1979, NAMI aims to raise awareness of mental health through advocacy projects and also provide support and education toward mental health related topics. They strive to support families and millions of lives that are suffering from mental illness or are affected by it.
